This is my daughter and her Great Gran, my much-loved Gran. 

​

You can see from the expressions on their faces how much the time they spent together meant.

​

Gran remained at home with us until she died aged 96. We noticed so many benefits, not just to my grandmother , but to us also.

• Maintaining her independence. She was always a very independent lady, and still wanted to remain so. With a little extra support, this was made possible.

• Feeling a sense of purpose, teaching her great grand daughter about times years ago.

• Familiarity, sleeping in her own bed, carrying on with the daily routine she'd had for years and using her own bathroom.

• Companionship from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

• Having her much loved cat remain with her. This is why we incorporate Companions Cornwall Pet Service into our offering of care services.

We couldn't have accomplished this on our own, and were extremely fortunate to have a team of excellent carers.

We realised very early on what an asset a good carer can be to the family team, so we decided to give back some of the positivity we experienced.
